Our story

A lifelong love of coffee, finally poured out.

Hi, I’m Darlene! My love for coffee started at 18, behind the bar at Makers & Finders, a specialty café in Las Vegas. That’s where I learned the craft: pulling shots by hand, making syrups from scratch, and treating every drink like it mattered. Since then I’ve made coffee at Starbucks and at specialty cafés here in Washington, and through every job in between, serving people has always been my favorite part.

Outside of work, I’ve always been the friend with the espresso machine, hosting coffee at home and bringing homemade drinks to coworkers and friends at church. I used to say that if being a barista could pay the bills, I’d do it forever. So I’m doing it. thx! is that dream, built one pop-up at a time, with gratitude and a whole lot of heart.

The name comes from 1 Thessalonians 5:18, “In everything give thanks.” Or, as we like to put it: In everything give THX!
